Biafo & Hispar combined, make the longest glacier trek in the world, outside the polar region. In contrast to Baltoro - Concordia trek, where you daily find scores of trekkers, this trek is rarely undertaken, which makes it more interesting. The campsites on Biafo & Hispar glaciers are clean and less polluted. We arrive at the vast bowl of snow called as Snow Lake, which covers an area of 77 square kilometers. Near Hispar Pass, the glacier has been measured as deep as one and a half kilometers at points. We cross the Hispar La at 5151m and descend in to Nagar region. Although we cross the highest point of the trek, we still have to cross the tails of glaciers flowing en route from the mountains on the right hand. This tough portion finishes with green and lovely campsites and finally we arrive in Nagar to drive to Hunza Valley. After a great adventure, we are back in civilization with modern facilities of transport and accommodation.
