A tour of the northern mountain region on bikes is a thrilling adventure. Our selected route includes a drive on KKH, a visit to Hunza Valley, famous lakes, Deo-Sai, a unique plateau of rolling grassland at an average height of 4000 meters and passing through alpine valley of Kaghan. The scenery of the whole route is eye-catching and rewarding with our skilled and experienced staff making this adventure a life time experience. The tour will be escorted by a technical staff with the necessary tools for the bikes. Cycling portions have been selected carefully and in other regions, there will be accompanying vehicles for safety purposes.

ITINERARY

    Day 01 Arrival in Pakistan

    Welcome in Pakistan at Islamabad and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon we will make a city sightseeing tour to Rawalpindi and Islamabad, which offers a great contrast of culture, archaeology and planning. Rawalpindi is an old city with narrow lanes and bustling bazaars while Islamabad is a modern and the only planned city of Pakistan serving as the capital of the state. Raja Bazaar, Murree Road, Lok Virsa Museum and Shah Faisal Mosque are the places of tourist interest included in the tour.

    Day 02 Islamabad - Chilas

    We depart from Islamabad and arrive at Besham crossing the famous towns of Abbottabad and Mansehra. Later on ffollowing the upstream course of River Indus, we will make photo stops at Shatial rocks with ancient graffiti's on it. After a long day aboard, we arrive at Chilas and transfer to hotel for overnight.

    Day 03 Chilas - Gulmit

    Some interesting carvings can be seen on the rocks at Chilas, even from the window of your vehicle and next to Chilas is the Nanga Parbat viewpoint offering breathtaking views.

    The next stop will be at the unique point where three mountain ranges, Karakoram, Himalayas and Hindu Kush meet, near the confluence of Indus and Gilgit Rivers. We bye passes the Gilgit Town and continue our drive on KKH. En route, we cross several villages of Hunza & Nagar valleys and make a photo stop at Rakaposhi view point. Driving past Karimabad, we go straight to Gulmit, a quite and serene village in upper Hunza region and stay for overnight.

    Day 04 Gulmit - Excursion Khunjerab Pass

    Today we will make an excursion to the Sino-Pak border at Khunjerab, crossing the villages of Passu and Sost en route. Khunjerab is the highest point on KKH at 4734 meters and considered as the highest trade route in the world. In the evening we will return to Gulmit.

    Day 05 Gulmit - Nagar - Karimabad ( Hunza Valley )

    We drive by jeeps to Nagar, the rival village of Karimabad with few tourists and less pollution. At Nagar, we drive up to viewpoint for Hopar Glacier. After a stop for photography at Hopar Glacier, we drive back to KKH and arrive at Karimabad for overnight.

    Day 06 Karimabad - Sightseeing

    Ultar, Hunza Dome, Bublimating, Spantik and Diran are famous peaks surrounds us at Karimabad, while Rakaposhi at 7788m dominates the whole panorama. At Karimabad, we visit Baltit Fort Museum and Altit Fort. Rest of the day is free for walking around villages and famous terraced fields of Hunza.

    Day 07 Karimabad - Gilgit

    We will drive back to Gilgit, where we enjoy a free time to explore bazaar and town. Gilgit River flowing through the town offers superb views and walk along its banks is rewarding.

    Day 08 Gilgit - Skardu

    We will start driving on KKH and leave the highway at Alam Bridge for Skardu. Our onwards journey is through the narrow and barren gorge of Indus and the scenery changes at Kachura, a picturesque lake of Baltistan, where we make a brief stop and later drive on to Skardu town to stay for overnight.

    Day 09 Skardu - Excursion Shigar Valley

    We cross the River Indus and driving through a sandy land, arrive in green and fertile Shigar Valley. At Shigar, we will visit the old mosque and fruit farms and in the evening return to Skardu.

    Day 10 Skardu - Bara Pani ( Deo-Sai Plains )

    We drive by jeeps to Deo-Sai plains crossing Satpara Lake en route. Deo-Sai is a treeless wilderness of rolling grassland at an average height of 4000m above sea level. We pass through the grassy meadows and arrive at Bara Pani, the main river of the plains. Here we enjoy an unforgettable night in tents.

    Once on the plains, the cyclists will start cycling, while kitchen and camping staff will establish the campsite.

    Day 11 Bara Pani - Deo-Sai Lake

    We will resume cycling among flowers and pastures to arrive at Deo-Sai Lake crossing a stream Kala Pani en route. Another great day and cycling high above the sea level makes it a unique experience.

    Day 12 Deo-Sai Lake - Rama Lake

    From Deo-Sai Lake we start descending in Astore region and continue our drive through Chilim Chauki and Astore to Rama and camp at Rama Lake for overnight.

    Day 13 Rama Lake - Day Free

    Enjoy a free day at Rama Lake with sparkling views of shadowing mountains in the lake.

    Day 14 Rama Lake - Chilas

    We will start driving to Chilas on KKH to start another adventure to visit an alpine valley, Kaghan. Overnight stay will be at Chilas to cross another high pass for Kaghan Valley on next day.

    Day 15 Chilas - Besal ( Kaghan Valley )

    Here starts another adventure as we start driving to a newly constructed jeep track and crossing Butogah pass at 4000m, we descend in to Kaghan Valley. Kaghan, an alpine valley is completely different from the landscape of northern areas and offers green hills and forested mountains. We start peddling from the pass and cross the summer settlement of Gitidas. Our next destination is Lake Lulusar, which is the source of River Kunhar, the lifeline of Kaghan Valley. A couple of kilometres ahead lies the summer settlement of Besal, where we camp for overnight.

    Day 16 Besal - Naran

    We start in the morning and passes through the villages of Burwai, Jalkhad and Batakundi to arrive in Naran, the main attraction of the valley, where we stay for overnight.

    Day 17 Naran - Excursion Lake Saif-ul-Muluk

    Today, we will make a visit to the legendary lake, Saif-ul-Muluk at 3200m. where Malika Parbat ( 5271m ), the highest peak of the valley, towers over the lake and offers great venues for candid shots and superb photography. Lake can be approached by jeeps, on foot or riding a hired pony. After a packed picnic lunch at lake, we will return to Naran to enjoy a cool evening in the village.

    Day 18 Naran - Islamabad

    We make an early departure for Balakot, the last town of Kaghan Valley while descending. Balakot is settled on the banks of River Kunhar from where drive to Mansehra through Jaba Pass. We continue our drive to Taxila the famous capital of Buddhists and visit Jaulian Monastery and Archaeological Museum there.

    We resume our drive to Islamabad where the evening is free for packing and individual's activities.

    Day 19 Departure

    Our staff will provide transfer and assistance at departure and say bon voyage for your onwards journey.
